How it works
Measure it. Build it. Prove it.
The point of running Amplify Advisor isn't to pass an audit. It's to make your organisation genuinely better at innovation, and to have the evidence to show it. Real performance comes from a handful of capabilities working well together. ISO 56001 gives you a way to check that the system producing them is sound, and the platform turns that check into the backbone of the actual improvement work.
A loop, not a line.
The four modules aren't a one-off project. They're a cycle the organisation runs again and again, with the open work carrying forward each time.
- 01 Assess Diagnose where each capability stands
- 02 Advise Find the method to close each gap
- 03 Act Build and improve the capability
- 04 Audit Verify the system holds up, with evidence
- 05 Report Show the state and the journey
- 06 Re-assess Measure the next round
No single cycle moves the needle on its own. Done well, year after year, the loop is what compounds into real innovation performance, and the year-over-year trend is what tells you it's working.
Assessments
An honest read on where your innovation capability stands today.
Score all 28 capabilities on a 1–5 scale, anchored in your own evidence. The AI reads uploaded documents, proposes a level for each capability with its reasoning cited, and drafts the improvement actions, which your team confirms, edits, or overrides. What used to be weeks of consulting per cycle becomes a focused week or two, and because every cycle re-runs against the same locked scale, the year-over-year movement is a number leadership can act on.
- Amplify's 28-capability maturity model, refined over 20+ years of casework
- AI drafts each level rating with cited evidence, and a named human signs off
- Re-assess against a locked scale; the year-over-year delta is the signal
Audits
Proof the system holds up against ISO 56001, with evidence.
A clause-by-clause view of all 53 ISO 56001 requirements, with evidence linked to each one. Run an internal audit as your own dry run and you walk into the certification audit already knowing where you stand, instead of a three-week scramble through scattered documents. The same module serves internal (Clause 9.2) and external audits, and the auditor role is read-only on the work it reviews, so independence is enforced in the data model, not by policy.
- All 53 ISO 56001 requirements, with evidence traced to each clause
- An internal audit doubles as the certification-body dry run
- Findings flow straight onto the action plan as tracked corrective work
Advisors
Expert help for the part between knowing a gap and closing it.
Conversational advisors grounded in Amplify's methodology and your own assessment data, not a generic chatbot. Ask what Level 3 looks like for a capability in your situation, or which toolbox method fits the gap you're staring at. Five advisors cover the maturity picture, the whole system, the standard itself, hard-won practice patterns, and the practitioner toolbox. Every answer carries its sources, and nothing they draft reaches your record until a person accepts it.
- Five advisors grounded in Amplify methodology and your live data
- The practitioner toolbox alongside them: PESTLE, scenarios, strategy process
- Citations on every answer; a human confirms anything that lands in the record
- IMA Advisor: anchors advice to your live maturity picture
- IMS Advisor: reasons across the whole system at once
- ISO Advisor: answers questions about the standard itself
- Best Practice Advisor: brings patterns from 20+ years of casework
- Toolbox Advisor: matches the right practitioner tool to the gap
Actions
Where the capability-building work actually gets done.
Every gap a diagnosis surfaces and every nonconformity an audit raises becomes tracked work on one board, alongside the proactive capability-building the team takes on between cycles. Open actions carry forward into the next assessment through their prior-cycle lineage, so “did we do what we said?” has a real answer. A diagnosis names the gap; the action plan is where maturity actually moves.
- One board for gaps from assessments, audits, and leadership priorities
- Open actions carry across cycles, so progress is auditable, not anecdotal
- Closing an action records what changed: capability built, not a box ticked
Across all four
Reports the board will actually read.
Every module produces a report: a maturity summary for the board, a conformity record for an auditor, a co-branded deliverable for a client. Each one turns the underlying data, ratings, findings, action progress, into a narrative the people who fund the work can use. An approved report is also the durable snapshot of where the system stood that cycle, so the multi-year story lives in the archive rather than in someone's memory.
It works for everyone in the room.
The same platform an in-house team runs for its own programme is what a consultancy delivers to its clients and what an auditor verifies against.
For consultancies & agencies
Innovation consultancies live on per-engagement margins, and the old shape, months of bespoke work per client with nothing carried between cycles, caps how many clients one consultant can carry. Amplify Advisor takes the mechanical work off your plate. Evidence extraction, first-draft ratings, action drafting, and report narratives run in the platform; your hours go to the framing, facilitation, and coaching that genuinely need a person.
- One organization per client, fully isolated, switched from the sidebar
- White-label reports that carry your client's brand, or yours
- A compounding record per client, so year two never starts cold
- A more scalable model: the same client deliverable takes fewer of your hours, so your effective rate goes up while you focus on the differentiated work
- Revenue share when you bring a client onto Amplify Advisor, not just delivery fees
Partner terms, licensing, and revenue share are set per firm during the pilot.
For internal & external auditors
Finding the evidence for a clause is the part of an audit that eats the most time. Amplify Advisor organises evidence by ISO 56001 requirement, links every finding to its source, and keeps a full change history, so a conformity verdict is quick to reach and easy to defend. Independence isn't a promise here: the auditor role is read-only on the work it reviews, enforced in the data model.
- Evidence organised per clause, not scattered across documents
- Every finding linked to its source, with full change history
- Clause 9.2 independence enforced by the role, not by trust
From months of consulting to a focused week.
Innovation-management assessments have been delivered as bespoke consulting engagements for two decades: workshops, evidence interviews, hand-built scoring and reports. High billable hours, slow turnaround, and very little that carries into the next cycle. Amplify Advisor keeps the rigour and compresses the work.
- 01
The AI does the first draft. It reads your documents, proposes claims and capability mappings, and drafts ratings and actions. A named person reviews everything, but the blank page is no longer the bottleneck.
- 02
The methodology is in the product. The 28-capability model, the level narratives, the toolbox: all there, so the team doesn't wait on a consultant's calendar to understand what good looks like.
- 03
The structure is set. Capability schema, evidence types, conformity scale, action workflow. The team spends its effort on the work, not on building a framework from scratch each time.
- 04
Continuity is the product. Year two compares directly to year one, and open actions carry forward. The record compounds instead of scattering into disconnected PDFs.
This doesn't replace good consultants. It frees them from the mechanical work so their hours go to judgement: framing the results, facilitating the hard conversations, building the capability. We don't promise effortless conformity, which falls apart at the first audit. We make proving and improving it dramatically less painful.
The compounding advantage
A maturity score is interesting. A trend you can compare is decision-useful.
Every cycle adds to your own multi-year record and, with consent, to an anonymised peer dataset. Over time you can see not just that a capability moved from Level 2 to Level 3, but how that compares to peers in your sector and size. The standalone consulting world has never been able to deliver that at scale; here it accrues from your first approved assessment and gets sharper as more organisations join.
