Innovation capability, on the record
Prove your innovation works.
Then make it better.
Innovation is hard to lead because it's hard to measure. Amplify Advisor scores your organisation against 28 innovation capabilities drawn from two decades of Amplify's practice, shows where you stand and what to improve, and tracks the gains year over year. The result is what innovation teams rarely have: proof a board, an auditor, or a funder will accept.
The shift
From innovation by heroics to innovation by system.
In most organisations, innovation still rides on the heroic effort of a few committed people. ISO 56001 finally gives the field a shared anchor for what a capable organisation should have in place. What it doesn't give you is a picture of where you stand or a route from here to there. That's what Amplify Advisor adds.
Measured maturity. Compounding capability.
The platform compresses months of diagnosis into a week of guided team effort, without trading away the rigour an auditor will demand. Every step is AI-assisted and human-confirmed.
from diagnosis to action plan
A credible maturity diagnosis used to be months of consulting. AI-assisted assessment brings it down to a focused week of guided team effort, and the people doing it reach a defensible rating in hours, not a day per capability, without losing the rigour an auditor expects.
AI proposes, people decide
Workflow agents draft level ratings with cited evidence, pull claims from your uploaded files, and tailor actions to your organisation. Nothing lands in the record until a named person signs off.
the same scale, every year
Every assessment re-runs against the same locked 28-capability scale, and anonymised peer benchmarking sets your trajectory against the field. The year-over-year movement, not any single score, is what tells leadership whether the work is paying off.
innovation as a managed capability
ISO 56001 turns innovation from a few people's side-project into something the whole organisation runs deliberately. The platform makes that shift operational.
How it works
Four modules, one continuous loop.
Assess where you stand, work out how to close each gap, and do the work. Audit to verify it holds up, report on the journey, then measure again. The loop runs every cycle, and the open work carries forward each time.
- 01 Assess Diagnose where each capability stands
- 02 Advise Find the method to close each gap
- 03 Act Build and improve the capability
- 04 Audit Verify the system holds up, with evidence
- 05 Report Show the state and the journey
- 06 Re-assess Measure the next round
Assessments
An honest read on where your innovation capability stands today.
- Amplify's 28-capability maturity model, refined over 20+ years of casework
- AI drafts each level rating with cited evidence, and a named human signs off
- Re-assess against a locked scale; the year-over-year delta is the signal
Audits
Proof the system holds up against ISO 56001, with evidence.
- All 53 ISO 56001 requirements, with evidence traced to each clause
- An internal audit doubles as the certification-body dry run
- Findings flow straight onto the action plan as tracked corrective work
Advisors
Expert help for the part between knowing a gap and closing it.
- Five advisors grounded in Amplify methodology and your live data
- The practitioner toolbox alongside them: PESTLE, scenarios, strategy process
- Citations on every answer; a human confirms anything that lands in the record
Actions
Where the capability-building work actually gets done.
- One board for gaps from assessments, audits, and leadership priorities
- Open actions carry across cycles, so progress is auditable, not anecdotal
- Closing an action records what changed: capability built, not a box ticked
Built by Amplify AB
Two decades of innovation-management practice, turned into a platform.
Amplify AB has spent twenty-plus years building innovation capability inside organisations across Europe. The 28-capability model, the practitioner toolbox, and the case library now sit at the heart of the assessment engine, so the recommendation that reaches the leadership table is grounded in real method, not a generic model.
Built for everyone who runs the loop
Heads of innovation & R&D leaders
You need a baseline that justifies board investment and stands up to certification, then proof of real progress each year. Amplify Advisor gives you a defensible read on every capability and the action plan to improve it. Anonymised peer benchmarking accrues from your first cycle, so the comparison sharpens as the dataset grows.
Consultancies & agencies
Deliver under your own brand with the methodology, white-labelling, and an isolated organization per client already built in. The platform takes the repeating mechanical work off your plate, so the same deliverable takes fewer hours and your effective rate rises while one consultant runs programmes across many clients. Plus revenue share when you bring clients onto Amplify Advisor.
Internal & external auditors
Walk into an engagement with evidence organised per ISO 56001 clause and every finding linked to its source, instead of weeks lost to scattered documents. The auditor role is read-only on the work it reviews, so the independence Clause 9.2 requires holds by construction, not by promise.
Frequently asked
What is Amplify Advisor?
Amplify Advisor helps you measure, prove, and build your organisation's innovation capability. It scores you against 28 innovation capabilities drawn from two decades of Amplify's practice, shows where the gaps are, and turns the diagnosis into improvement work you track year over year, so a board, an auditor, or a funder gets proof rather than assertions.
Four modules carry the work: Assessments (where each capability stands today), Audits (conformity against ISO 56001's 53 requirements), Advisors (AI guidance grounded in Amplify's methodology), and Actions (the plan where maturity actually moves).
Built by Amplify AB on two decades of innovation-management consulting.
Who is it for?
Organisations that treat innovation as a capability to manage, not a side-project: heads of innovation, R&D leaders, and transformation officers who need a defensible baseline they can take to the board and improve every year. Increasingly, that baseline is also what an RFP, a funding application, or a certification push expects them to have.
It's just as much for the consultancies and auditors who work alongside them. See the next question.
I'm a consultant or an auditor. What's in it for me?
Consultancies and agencies deliver under their own brand. The platform absorbs the mechanical work, evidence extraction, first-draft ratings, report narratives, so your hours go to the judgement clients pay for: framing, facilitation, coaching. One consultant can credibly run programmes for many client organisations, each in its own isolated organization with co-branded reports.
Auditors walk into engagements with evidence organised per ISO 56001 clause and findings linked straight to their source, instead of a three-week scramble through scattered documents. The auditor role is read-only on the work it reviews, so Clause 9.2 independence holds by construction.
How does this relate to ISO 56001?
ISO 56001:2024 is the international standard for innovation management systems, and it's the backbone Amplify Advisor is built on. But the standard tells you what a sound system covers, not what good looks like at each level or how to get there.
That's the gap Amplify Advisor fills. Conformity is worth having, and the platform makes proving it far less painful, but the point is the capability you build along the way. Measure where you stand, see how you compare to peers, then close the gap, with the standard as the proof rather than the goal.
